Kisan Ghosthi on Organic farming in association with MFL

ICAR KVK Thiruvannamalai organized a kisan ghosthi programme in association with the Madras Fertilizer Company on 17th April 2025 focused on natural fertilizer management for agricultural and horticultural crops. Mr. V. Suresh, Senior Scientist and Head, KVK Thiruvannamalai, extended a warm welcome to all the participants. He encouraged farmers to leverage this seminar to maximize their yields and income by employing balanced fertilizers and modern technologies tailored to soil test results.

Mr. S. Gauthaman, Vellore Regional Manager, MFL Company provided insights into various agricultural welfare schemes offered by the company. Mr. V.I. Baskaran, Deputy Manager, Thiruvallur Zone, also contributed by discussing fertilizer subsidies available to farmers through the Agriculture Department.

P. Narayanan, SMS Plant Protection, engaged with farmers on the application of biofertilizers and water management techniques in rice cultivation. Mrs. M. Ishwarya, SMS Agronomy, informed farmers about natural fertilizer management and advanced technologies for field crops. Mr. P. Chaudhary, Lab technician addressed various inquiries from farmers regarding soil fertility management, soil sample collection and fertilization based on soil analysis. Participants received the fruit saplings and also viewed natural fertilizers showcased by the Madras Fertilizer Company. A total of 73 farmers from the Vembakkam area were participated in the programme.
